About Amanda

Amanda Bailey Dermal Clinician in South Melbourne

Hello and welcome!

Hello, I’m Amanda, the owner of Restore Skin Clinic. When it comes to your skin, knowing who to trust can be overwhelming and confusing, especially with the myriad of social media influencers, fancy advertising, and marketing out there. It can make you question who is giving the right advice for your skin.

When I started as a young 22-year-old beauty therapist, I had really bad acne. The beauty clinic where I worked provided me with all kinds of products and treatments to try. It felt like everyone had an answer, but nothing was working. I experienced firsthand how clients felt when they were told what product to use or which treatment was best, but saw no results.

This experience really shaped how I operate as a therapist. I didn’t want to push products onto my clients; instead, I wanted to ensure I was giving them the right treatment for their specific needs. I also wanted to provide accurate advice about skin care, which led me to pursue further education.

In 2013, I completed my Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapy, later in 2019 I went back to uni and completed my Masters in Human Nutrition. With my own skin experience, I knew that results were driven by both internal and external factors. Quality skin products, effective treatments, and proper nutrition are key to achieving healthy, youthful skin.

Over the past 19 years I have had the privilege to work with many clients helping them achieve their skin goals. I say privileged as clients are trusting me with guiding them through their skin journey. Something that I don't take lightly. I look forward to helping you achieve your skin goals.

More About Amanda

Amanda naturally fell into the beauty industry. She loved attending her Mum's Avon party's which she enjoyed massaging the cream into people's feet.

At a young age she was fascinated with her Grandfather's what she called "a hole in the head" but now realise it was an enlarged pore. Her Grandfather would let her squeeze and dig at it to try and get something out.

Growing up Amanda wanted to be a hairdresser, but after doing work experience in a hairdressing salon decided it wasn't for her. Instead she went and did work experience in a Beauty Salon and loved it.

Amanda started her first beauty clinic in her hometown Wodonga, after 5 years sold it to one of her staff members. When Amanda moved to Melbourne she worked as a Senior Dermal Clinician after 2 years she decided to open up her own Dermal Clinic - Restore Skin Clinic.
